Magnum 35′, from MotorBoating Magazine, 1970 Boat Show Issue:
“The Maltese Magnum 35′, a high-performance offshore powerboat for cruising or fishing, is built of fiberglass by Magnum Marine on a limited production basis. Standard power for the 35’ deep-vee hull is twin 325-hp V8s with V-drives that deliver 40-mph speeds. Other engine options range up to 850 total hp.
The Magnum 35′ has a large teak fishing cockpit and helm station above deck, berths for five, all-electric galley and enclosed head with shower below.”
The original Magnum 35′ has been long retired from production, but Magnum Marine enthusiasts have recently found themselves restoring the boat to its original beauty with improved performance. Attached below are images of Sooty’s restoration, completed by a Magnum Marine client. Read below to learn more about his restoration and future endeavors:
“Our Magnum 35′ has been an important purchase, considering the period in which we all find ourselves. I hope that in the future it holds many surprises and positive things. I am attaching some photos of Sooty, from the beginning of the works to today… The boat should be ready by April and my family and I can’t wait to use it in Sardinia. We have recently approached the world of Magnum Marine and we are very excited!”
