Check out Peter Young’s testimonial about his Magnum 28′!
I purchased my 1977 Magnum 28′ in 1986. It is a very solid hull. I cannot think of any competitors with a thicker fiberglass construction.
Extra speed can be gained by using less fiberglass in the layup. The trade-off is felt in the ride. A lighter boat pounds the driver and crew. The Magnum also has a deeper angle of dead rise in the hull. This is how a Magnum slices through the waves and offers a softer ride. Magnum kept its traditional look and became unique in the industry. In short, it is uncompromising in its approach. The company has retained all the qualities that are needed in conquering real-world water conditions.
