Today, Magnum Marine is proud to present the new, next generation 27’ Magnum Sport, 54 years after the very first 27’ was unveiled in Miami, FL.
Magnum’s design team chose to create a new, updated look for their iconic boat, while staying true to the original feel and concept. Most importantly, the company has decided to keep the original Jim Wynn designed hull without modifications, updating only the lamination methods and materials, making it a stronger, lighter boat. “We felt that the original hull design, was comfortable, dry and stable, so why make changes,” commented Giovanni Theodoli.
Besides the updated carbon lamination, the new 27’ also features elegant, updated finishes and features, which are custom designed for each client, featuring Italian hardware and exotic materials. Also, the new 27’ features the latest technologies, like a SIMRAD GPS/Chartplotter, Mercury Vessel View and a Fusion Apollo stereo system. Finally, Magnum is offering the boat with power packages from Mercury Racing, which are the most reliable motors in the high-performance industry and have the largest and most comprehensive service programs available almost anywhere.
Magnum isn’t stopping with the single engine, 27’ sport, as they are planning on offering the 27’ with outboard motors and will continue to expand the line with a special “Starfire” model for 3rd quarter 2021 release and even a new zero emission, plug-in electric boat for 2022! As with all of the iconic Magnum’s previously built, the 27′ and all future models will continue to be built in the USA. The company has no plans on moving production overseas.
