Check out Mark Olewin’s testimonial about his Magnum 27 Sport!
I had the pleasure to have owned and raced this 27’ Magnum Sport hull #311.
Dear Magnum Marine,
She started life as the Damn Yankee, then raced as Showdown, then Come Again, and by myself and Hank Newman as the P-88 Believe It!. I had her for several years till I sold her to a friend who raced her also as Chemical Re-Action. This Mag raced from 1975 till around 1991. Today I lost track of her, but would love to find her again. When we were racing her, we bought the race hatches from Wally Harper’s Mag Lil Smidgen, it sure made look faster. We raced P-Class till the outboard cats took over (Black Duck), but it still was a great ride. I now have red & white 27’ Sedan Miss Behaven hull #267-A that I will be restoring back to her glory days. I also have a 1973 Sport hull #226 that I have been restoring for the last year. I’m restoring her just as it would have looked back in 1973, with a name (Screwdriver) on the hulls sides and cartoon caricatures, as well as a red & white candy striped interior. This fall I finished all the paint work and now I just have to reassemble her. Who said one Magnum is too damn much boat, try having three.

It’s now been 3 years since I finished the restoration on my sport, this boat is still amazing that in tribute of this boat I named my new rescue Doberman Magnum, just like the boat he is just to cool for the average person !!!!
