Lenny Kravitz talks about his experience with Magnum Marine, and his Magnum 60′ boat in the interview, below.
Q. Why did you choose a Magnum Marine? For example, did you research other yacht/luxury boat makers and decide that Magnum had the quality, styling, or speed you needed?
Lenny: Being a design enthusiast, my first criteria was the style and architecture of the boat. After doing extensive research with people knowledgeable about boats, I came to find that Magnum Marine made the safest and highest quality boats. Speed is also a big consideration, due to the limited amount of time I have for recreation in my life. For example, I can go to Bimini for lunch and be back in time to have a full day in the studio.
Q. Is there something about Katrin Theodoli that makes you want to work with her? She’s in a very glamorous business and her clients are generally celebrities, royalty or the very wealthy. Does this mean she understands your needs as a particular kind of consumer? (for example, she’s very discreet, she treats you in a way you appreciate, whatever those qualities may be, why do you like to work with her?).
Lenny: Katrin Theodoli has a full understanding of her product and she is very helpful in dealing with all aspects of the Magnum. She deals with clients that demand and expect the utmost in quality, which works well for me because my expectations are very high.
Q. What kinds of things do you use your Magnum for? Just entertaining, or is it also a place where you relax, get away, etc.? And, what kind of Magnum is it?
Lenny: I use my Magnum to travel throughout the Bahama Islands. It is not a status symbol that sits at my dock. I use the boat. In the first couple of months, I put 3000 miles on it. I bought the Magnum 60 so I could lose myself out in the ocean and leave the world behind me.
