Check out John Cadillac McDaniel’s testimonial about his Magnum 16′ Missile!
Katrin,
I had the extreme pleasure of having my parents buy me a 16’ Magnum Missile with a 125 HP Mercury O/B when I was about thirteen years old. She was white with gold interior. She had a single seat set-up as she was raced as a SJ class tunnel hull by the previous owner, Joe Kelinson. Great White Hope was the name on the side of the boat when I bought her and I don’t know if at the time I knew what a piece of history I was playing with around Biscayne Bay. In those days, there were no speed limits or slowing down to pass through bridges, so it was wide open everywhere and I raced against every boat you could find: Donzis, Champs, Seabirds, Scorpions, Checkmates… Now I am older and luckily have become a friend of yours somehow. Oh, and by the way, I now have four Missiles and hope to restore them and find the right people to share them with.
Thank you for building Magnum into what it is now. I’ve always been proud to be in a small way associated with it.
