In the April 2015 publication of Sea — America’s Western Boating Magazine, you’ll find a great featured article about the Magnum 51! Check it out, below.
Good looks characterize the Magnum 51—a 70MPH beast.
Beasts of the sea rarely look this good. Nicknamed Bestia, or Beast, the Magnum 51 from Magnum Marine is a show of power, efficiency and strikingly good looks. The sleek, blue vessel represents Magnum Marine’s efforts to produce a more environmentally friendly boat, in terms of fuel economy and speed. The Magnum 51 utilizes a stiffer and lighter hull construction, common-rail engines, and uses only 100 gph traveling at its top speed of more than 70 mph. The vessel is equipped with twin MTU 10v2000M94 1,600 hp diesels, and features tremendous speed and acceleration — suitable for day trips, as well as crossing channels and bays in rough, open seas.
The Magnum 51’s exterior is characterized by sharp, polished lines and a distinct, narrow-beam, deep–V, muscular hull. Its interior makes as much use of its space as possible. The model includes a large salon and galley, a master stateroom and a head and crew cabin. With almost 7 feet of headroom, the comfortable double cabin features a queen–sized berth and abundant closet space. The head includes a stall shower. In the cockpit, cruisers will find helm and companion seats with bolsters, plus an L–shaped settee along the port side and the transom, and an aft sundeck.
